Our University of Michigan Roots

Ticko was founded by two Michigan students, at Michigan for Michigan students.
Community
Ticko has been in the works at Michigan both inside and outside of the lecture hall — built by students who live the ticket problem every game day.
Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurship
Ticko received a grant from the Zell Institute through completion of Winter 2026 Phase I Mayleben Venture Shaping Dare to Dream. Through this semester-long program, we conducted high quality community discovery interviews, focussing on customers, stakeholders, and influencers. This program involved frequent mentorship meetings with Zell Institute staff. Learn more about ZLI →
ENTR 411 Entrepreneurship Practicum
Throughout this Umich course, we worked closely with entrepreneurship faculty and mentors. Working in a team of six, we completed over 50 customer discovery interviews, built pitch decks, and outlined the financial future of Ticko.
Ticko × MDesign
We collaborated with MDesign, the award-winning student design consultancy group at the University of Michigan, to design a ticket marketplace unlike any other. Visit MDesign →
Student organization
In the summer of 2026, Ticko became a registered student organization at the University of Michigan. This gives us more access to build relationships with students and show what is possible at Umich.
And so much more is coming…
